About My Lawn Business
My lawn care business is where I provide mowing and seasonal cleanup services in my area. I started doing this a couple years ago just to make some extra money. Over time I started getting more consistent customers and taking it more seriously. Most of my work is in neighborhoods around Macomb Township and Shelby Township. I mainly work with homeowners who want their lawns maintained on a regular basis. I try to keep everything simple and reliable. I show up on time and make sure the job is done right. Even though it’s a small business, I treat it like a real responsibility and take pride in how the lawns look when I’m finished.
In addition to mowing, I also do spring cleanup, picking up sticks, edging, and clearing out leaves or debris leftover from the winter. Some jobs are quick and straightforward, while others can take a few hours depending on how overgrown the yard is. I usually charge hourly for larger cleanup jobs because they can vary in time and effort. It’s also helped me understand what it takes to manage money, schedule jobs, and deal with real customers instead of just doing schoolwork.
Why I Started My Lawn Business
Originally, I started my lawn care business for the extra money, but it evolved into something more serious. As I got more customers, I realized how important it was to be reliable and do quality work. Running this business has taught me responsibility, time management, and how to deal with real customers. It has also helped me build confidence and understand what it takes to run a small business on my own.
